KRISZTINA IS ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!
Works with adults.
Life never misses to throw us curveballs and it is OK to ask for help. Asking for help does not
mean you are weak; it means you are strong and brave. If you are feeling anxious, sad,
overwhelmed, and lost – you have taken the right first step by searching for a
counsellor. Imagine a caring, safe, and non-judgmental space where acceptance,
encouragement and joy are all present to help you get through challenging times and thrive in
life again. This is the environment I offer you along with empathy and compassion.
I will work closely with you to understand your unique story and figure out what practical tools
and strategies could provide you instant help. If needed, we will also dive a bit deeper to get a
better understanding of all the underlying emotions that hold you back in your life.
My counselling style is warm, collaborative, and inclusive. In my practice, I use Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). I also provide therapy that is informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) treatment. I believe that we all have hidden strengths and virtues, and I will work with you to recognize and mobilize these when going through tough times.
I am passionate about working with adults in a variety of areas such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, stress management, anger management, self-esteem issues, faith-based counselling.
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist, born and raised in Hungary and immigrated to
Canada more than 10 years ago. Since then, I am in love with the Rockies and enjoy hiking and
other outdoor activities with my husband and my two children.
I look forward to walking with you on your journey to healing while exploring all the remarkable
things you are capable of doing.

ANNETA IS NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS.
(Currently on leave until at least June.)
I’m constantly inspired by my clients’ courage and positive intention for change and personal growth. In my sessions I strive to be non-judgemental, empathic, and respectful; fully dedicated to providing a safe and trusting space for clients. A strong therapeutic relationship is based on collaboration and the ability to capitalize on each clients’ strengths – these are key components I use in helping clients achieve lasting change in their lives.
In my Therapy, I use several modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Attachment, and Mindfulness in order to support clients to cultivate meaningful connections in their individual lives and interpersonal relationships.
I am also a registered facilitator for a program called “Circle of Security – Parenting™” (COS-P). COS-P is a well researched program designed to strengthen attachment security between parents and children. Through this interactive, engaging and reflective program, parents discover how to read and respond to their child’s emotional cues, successfully organize their child’s feelings, enhance the development of the child’s self-esteem and more! I offer both individual and group sessions to parents and caregivers of children from birth through 6 years old.
Upon achieving my Masters Degree from Yorkville University in Ontario, I had the opportunity to work with an amazing set of children on the Autism Spectrum. Over the years I have expanded my client base and now regularly provide counselling services to individuals (pre-teens, teens and adults), couples and families.
I am inspired by clients’ resilience, positive intentionality, and dedication to growth. I believe that together we can help you achieve a greater sense of well-being in your unique journey and look forward to meeting and working with you soon!

Authenticity. This is what I’ve been told I do well. I’m not going to pretend I’m perfect, and nor do I want you to. Life is messy, let’s wade through some of the mess together.
I will provide the opportunity and space for you to be authentically you. Let’s chat about who you are, what you love, what makes you tick, and what you would like to see different in your life. This is where your vulnerability and my expertise make magic. I will teach you a few things, give you new tools and skills to work through low and anxious feelings. Together we will assess where you’re ready to make changes, and help you make decisions or manage difficult situations in your life. I’m not going to pretend this is going to be easy, the big stuff rarely is, but we will walk together through the hard parts and give you the power to take your health back and prioritize you. We will work through the tools to stop the overthinking, take the stress down a few notches, and address the pressures of life. I will do my best to meet you just where you’re at.
Together, we will use cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), and collaborate to find the thoughts and actions creating obstacles in your life, test them out, and combat them to decide if they’re helping or hindering you. I have experience helping people with a variety of concerns including, but not limited to stress, anxiety, depression and relationships. Most of all, I want to help you reach your potential, and make the way there a little easier.

KATIE IS ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!
Works with adults for individual therapy.
As a counsellor, I believe that it is my role to be supportive as I help you navigate life’s challenges. I enjoy learning about who my clients are and try to see the world through their perspective in order to understand how I can be most helpful. I believe that even small changes can be powerful in fostering hope and fulfillment in your life. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and narrative techniques in my practice. I also pull from other theories as I tailor my approach to fit the unique needs of my clients.
I work with individuals in a private, one on one setting. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, stress, interpersonal relationships, boundaries, emotional regulation, and life transitions. I strive to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space so that you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and experiences. I believe that a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and accepted is the most valuable resource I can offer you on your journey to create meaningful and lasting change.
I can offer thoughtful, exploratory conversations to help you better understand the challenges that you are facing & collaboratively develop coping strategies to help you along your way. Clients share that things seem clearer when talked about openly without fear of judgment. I understand the courage it takes to share deeply about yourself and your life, and I do my best to create a space for my clients to feel safe enough to do so.
I am a Registered Psychologist originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, but I have lived in Calgary for the past 10 years. I received my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology at the University of Manitoba and earned my Master of Counselling at Gonzaga University.
The quote, “Those mountains you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb.” from Najwa Zebian resonates with me as I consider what many of us go through when faced with life’s challenges. Let’s climb your mountain together and help you conquer it!

COURTNEY IS CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
I am very aware that counselling takes great risk and vulnerability – it is not easy to take the first step to open up to someone new and share the deepest parts of oneself. That is why the foundation of my therapeutic approach is grounded in forming a strong connection with clients by providing a safe and empathic space for them to open up and feel understood. My hope is that I can see your life through your eyes and then we can begin to collaborate with one another to determine and accomplish your personal goals for therapy – you do not have to face the journey of life’s difficulties alone.
My therapeutic approach will pull from many different theories, but will often use Emotion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, as well as Solution Focused Therapy the my main methods. I believe that we all need help and guidance when it comes to “fully arriving” at a particularly difficult emotion so that we can “fully leave” it behind and my goal is to help clients move through that process in order to experience emotions in a healthy way in all areas of life.
I also enjoy working with children and adolescents. I will often use play based interventions in order to meet youth where they are at and incorporate their world and unique perspective into our sessions together. My past experiences working with children in daycares, preschools, as well as foster care programs, enables me to connect with children and families in a meaningful way.
Ultimately whether you need some help navigating your own thoughts and emotions or you need restoration in your relationships, my desire as your counsellor is to help you feel safe enough to face and embrace difficult emotional processes that will lead to healing and change that will create the life you desire.
I am a Registered Psychologist, originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology at the University of Manitoba and obtained a Master of Arts in Counselling at Providence Theological Seminary in Calgary.

SARA IS ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!
Works with Adults & Couples.
I am passionate about working collaboratively with my clients to assist in creating, achieving, and maintaining their personal goals. I make it a priority to offer a warm, safe and supportive space for my clients while working together to ensure we use the best method of therapy specific to them; this is how I build a strong therapeutic relationship with clients.
Uniquely, as a second generation Canadian, I have the ability to take a step back and understand different perspectives – allowing me to take a holistic view for each of my clients. Whether you were born in Canada (or elsewhere around the globe), I am able to identify and work with different characteristics to help you.
Although numerous theoretical approaches are used in my sessions, I will tailor a treatment plan utilizing such models as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to reach your goals.
I have spent my career working with families and individuals in multiple settings including community and school environments, large counselling centres, and a domestic violence shelter.
Through my years working with a diverse group of people, I have discovered that I am particularly passionate about guiding couples to create meaningful and lasting relational change.

Individual Adults Clients 18+ y.o.
I understand that everyone struggles with difficult emotions at times but with a safe and supportive environment, some curiosity, and ’emotional coaching’, clients can obtain important information and new strategies to navigate their patterns of emotionality and build ‘new wiring’ towards emotional agility. I appreciate the uniqueness of each client and tailors therapy based on individual needs and what ‘best fits’ rather than a “one-size-fits all solution”. It is important to me to listen intently to understand where clients have been on their journey and collaboratively explore what may be needed to get to where they want to go.
Also, I seek to help clients feel hopeful in the process of change by highlighting strengths, deconstructing goals into achievable steps, exploring creative perspectives and through non-judgmental caring. I have a passion to help clients achieve emotional, mental, relational, spiritual and physical well-being.
In my practice, I use Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) to help clients thrive but I also integrate other approaches and elements from Attachment Theory, Neuroscience, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, therapeutic play and mindfulness.
Although I am not currently accepting children clients, I can be a resource for parents. I have completed Red & Green Stream with Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute. I have also trained in Emotion Focused Family Therapy that is useful in working with parents to foster deeper emotional connections and help families work better together as a unit.
When it comes to making relationships work, I have trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy and on route to completing Level 1 in the Gottman Method. Every relationship can be unique in how we “dance” with others and once there’s more awareness of the contributing steps, we can learn new ways to move and allow more space to be able to share, negotiate, support, and thrive together.
I am originally from Toronto but Calgary is home - nice and close to the mountains! My education includes a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Providence University & Seminary in Calgary and now work as a Clinic Director and a Registered Psychologist @ Refresh.

“Relationships in which you can genuinely care and be cared for.
Meaningful roles that challenge you and allow you to contribute to the world around you.
Freedom to be curious, to explore, and to experience.”
I think of mental wellness as the ability to love, work, and play. I think of counselling as a place where people can identify and address interpersonal, emotional, and thought patterns that are getting in the way of wellness. There are reasons you came to be how and where you are now, and you have strengths that will help you. Counselling can be used to better understand who you are, determine what you need, make a plan for what is next, and to learn or refine skills for living a more full, balanced life with yourself and others. I am here to listen when you speak, and when you can’t. To follow your lead in what you want out of counselling and life, and also to guide you in ways to get there.
For individuals, couples, and families, I use emotion-focused therapies as my base. Emotions, or their absence, are indicators that tell us about what is important, give us clues about what we need, and fuel our motivation to act. I use Emotion-Focused Family Therapy and the Gottman Couples Method to empower couples and families to practise shifting the ways they connect with each other within the safety of each session. For individual therapy work with youth and adults, I also integrate cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, mindfulness, narrative, and art therapy techniques as needed. I am trained in trauma-focused and trauma-informed approaches to support individuals who have experienced or are currently experiencing relationship disruptions or maltreatment that is impacting who and how they are in the present.
After earning my Behavioural Science B.A. at Ambrose University in Calgary, I went on to complete a Counselling Psychology M.Ed. at the University of Toronto. I have experience having previously worked at Distress Centre Calgary, Eastside Family Centre, and Wood’s Homes’ Street Services and Exceptional Needs programs.
